Tragedy Strikes Dubai Vacation: Kerala Engineer Dies During Scuba Diving
A 29-year-old Indian civil engineer from Kerala, Issac Paul Olakkengil, tragically passed away during a scuba diving session at Jumeirah Beach in Dubai on June 6, 2025, while vacationing with his wife Reshma and younger brother Ivinduring the Eid Al Adha holidays.
According to a Khaleej Times report, Issac faced difficulty breathing underwater during a training session and reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest. Despite immediate medical attention and being rushed to the hospital, he could not be revived.
The incident caused panic among the diving group. His wife Reshma was rescued first, followed by the others. Ivin, his brother, collapsed upon hearing the news and is currently under medical supervision.
Their uncle David Pyarilos, who is helping with the legal formalities, confirmed the tragic details. The entire family, all engineers, is struggling to cope with the sudden loss. Ivin, based in Abu Dhabi, is being carefully monitored as he shared a close bond with his brother.
